Privacy Policy for Hit Me Maybe: Blackjack Trainer
Last updated: October 2026 (app version 2.0)
Hit Me Maybe is a blackjack strategy trainer. Your quiz results, practice statistics, drill scores, career progress and settings are stored on your device. The app has no accounts, no sign-ups, and no analytics of its own. Two optional features share limited data with Apple and Google, described below.
Data stored on your device
All quiz results, practice statistics, drill scores, card-counting best times, career progress, daily energy and settings are stored locally on your device. We never receive them, and they are never sent to a server operated by us. Uninstalling the app deletes them.
If you choose Settings → Diagnostics → Send diagnostic logs, the app prepares a text file (app version, device model, iOS version and the app’s own log messages from the last 24 hours) that you can send to us through the iOS share sheet. Nothing is sent unless you share it, and we use it only to investigate your report.
Game Center (optional)
If you are signed in to Game Center on your device, the app submits your scores (XP, streaks and drill results) to Game Center leaderboards and reports the achievements you unlock, so you can compete with other players. Game Center is operated by Apple under your Apple ID. The app never sees your Apple ID password, email address or friends list. The app works fully without Game Center; you can sign out at any time in iOS Settings → Game Center. See Apple’s Game Center privacy information.
Advertising (free version only)
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, including an optional rewarded ad you can choose to watch for more hands of daily energy. Hit Me Maybe Pro subscribers see no ads and no ad-related prompts.
To serve ads, Google’s Mobile Ads SDK may collect:
- your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), but only if you allow tracking in the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt;
- your IP address, the approximate (city-level) location derived from it, your device model and iOS version;
- ad interaction data, such as which ads were shown, viewed or tapped;
- crash reports, performance and other diagnostic data about the ads SDK itself, which Google uses to keep its ads service working.
Where the law requires it (the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), Google’s consent form appears before any ad is requested. You can change that choice at any time in the app under Settings → Legal → Ad privacy choices (the row appears only where consent is required). If you decline tracking, you still see ads, but they are not personalized using your advertising identifier.
Google may also use this data for ad measurement and its own analytics. How Google uses this data is described at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and in the AdMob privacy notice.
In-App Purchases
Hit Me Maybe offers an optional premium upgrade (“Hit Me Maybe Pro”), an auto-renewable subscription (monthly or yearly) processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Hit Me Maybe never receives, processes, or stores your payment information. All purchase transactions are handled by Apple. Please refer to Apple’s Privacy Policy for details on how Apple handles purchase data.
Your choices
- Tracking: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or decline the prompt when it appears.
- Ad consent: in the app, Settings → Legal → Ad privacy choices.
- Game Center: sign out in iOS Settings → Game Center.
- Ads altogether: subscribe to Hit Me Maybe Pro.
Data deletion
Everything the app stores on your device is deleted when you uninstall it. Game Center data is held by Apple under your Apple ID and is managed in iOS Settings → Game Center. Data collected by Google for advertising is governed by Google’s policies; you can withdraw the app’s tracking permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, after which the app only receives an all-zero advertising identifier.
Changes to this policy
We update this page whenever the app’s data practices change, and note the date at the top.
